REIHER - McKIM
, Glebe' St. James United Church,
Ottawa, wasthe setting for an
early evening wedding, Thursday,
April 19th, when Carin Joy Mc-
Kim, daughter of Mr.,and Mrs..
Reid McKim, and Mr. Mark
Eugene Ratter, son of Mrs. Janet
Kester and Mr; Bonner Reiher,
were united'in marriage.
The double ring ceremony was
solemnized by Rev. Joseph W.
Stewart of Mississauga, Ontario,
grandfather of the bride. Rev.
Stewart was, minister of Lucknow
United Church from 1941 to 1949..
The bride was attended by Miss
Sheila Petzold of Ottawa. The
groom's attendant was his father,
Mr. Bonno Reiher of &ilium
Heights, Michigan.
During the signing of the regist-
er Miss Petzold sang "Morning
has Broken", after which Mr., and
Mrs. Reiher were piped from the
church by Piper Michael Durante
of Burritts Rapids.
Following a recept.ion at the
National Press club, the couple
left on a wedding trip to Quebec.
They will reside in Minneapolis,
Minnesota.
Out of town guests were from,.
Lucknow, Toronto, Richmond
Hill, Guelph and Auburn Heights,
Michigan.
The bride is the granddaughter
of Mr. and Mrs. A. E. McKim
of Lucknow.
Culross Farmer
Died Suddenly
ROSS MacRAE
Ross Sutherland MacRae of
Culross Township passed away
suddenly at his home on the 2nd
concession on Monday, May 14,
dueto a heart attack.
Mr. MacRae„Was born in Cul-
ross sixty-five years ago on Sept-
ember,16 , a son of the late John. •
MacRae and Jennie McKay. He
had farmed all his life in Cul-
ross. •
On March 12, 1938, he married
the former.Mabel Walters who
survives as well as one son Alan
of Culross andia daughter Connie,
Mrs. Ed Inouye of Richmond Hill;
one brother Kenneth MacRae of
Toronto and three grandchildren.
Mr. MacRae had been an act-
ive member of the Teeswater
United Church and at the
time of his death Was Clerk of
the Session. For some years he
has served the Department of
Education, being a Culross mem-
ber of the school board for the
Wingham arid District Secondary
-School and for the past four
years was the local representative
on the Bruce County School
Board. He was a director of the
Culross Mutual Fire Insurance
Company.• • •
The funeral service was held
from MacPherson Funeral Home
on Thursday, May 17 at 2 p.m. •
conducted by Rev. Arnold Proud.
Burial was in Teeswater
Cemetery. ••

Marshall, Mervin McAllister,
• Donald Stobo and Hugh Arm-

ROY S. •McBRIDE -
A highly -respected resident of
Stanley Township for many years,
Roy Samuel McBride passed away
.in South Huron Hospital, Exeter,
on Sunday, May 20, in his.73rd
year. A devoted rnemberof the,
Goshen United Church, Mr. Mc-
Bride was recently honoured by the
choir of the congregation for
his 55 years of service. He had
also served as an elder of the.
church for 50 years. •
Mr. McBride was born in Hay.
Township on July 10, 1900, a son
of the late, Mr. and Mrs. John Mc-
Bride. .He married the former
Margaret McNain of-Amberley on
July 19, 1924.
Surviving besides his wife are
three sons; Hugh of Edmonton,
Alberta; Wesley, R. R. 1 Varna;
John, R. R. 1 Zurich; and one
daughter, Mrs. Earl (Phyllis)
Deichert, R. R. 2 Zurich. Anoth•
er son, Keith, predeceased him
in 1971. AlsO surviving are three
sisters, Mrs. Pearl Love', Hensall,
Mrs. Edith Bell, Hensall, and.
Mrs. Gordon (Grace) Bloch of
Zurich. There are 15 grandchild-
ren.,
The body rested at the Westlake
Funeral Home , 'Zurich where the
service took place on Wednesday,.
May 23, at 2 p.m. Interment •
was in the Bayfield Cemetery,
with Rev. M. Morrison officiat-
ing
Pallbearers were Hugh McBride,
Wesley McBride, John McBride,
Larry McBride, Bruce McBride
and Earl Deichert. Flower bear-
ers were Terry McBride, Murray
McBride, Peter McBride, John
Deichert. All are sons and grand -
