Kenny Ritchie's pony (Taffy), while out riding, decided to lie down in the creek dunking Kenny, got up, walked a few steps and lay down on the other side.' The Aalders have two new horses, part Arab- ian named Smokey and Rhecka both three year olds and bay in colour. Sadie MacMillan has her little yearling .filly and is in the process of halter breaking. Doug Jansen won the Labatt Trophy at Teeswater for the best • Junior games -horse. He won,lst in sack race; 2nd in pony express; 3rd in flag race; 4th in pick-up race. Roy Bongertman, who joined our club the last night, was also a winner at this show; • Roy won 1st in sand surfing; 2nd in combinatipn stake and: 'pole bendmg; 2nd in pick-up race; 3rd in quarter mile dash; 3rd in barrel race. Lorrie Aalders won 3rd in costumed riders class. Pat Aalders gave the treasurer's report. The club intend to haye a draw at their Olympiad .on a full size horse saddle., • Drawings wereturned in to be judged by the executive at their meeting Saturday night. Next trail -ride is to be held at Merle and Sheila Gunby's on June 10th, riders to .meet at Zion Corner. Next meeting is in two weeks at. Gunby's.
