Build In Lucknow
Construction of a new branch
'of the Royal Bank of Canada will
commence in Lucknow in about
a month. This was the word re-
ceived by Reeve George. W.
Joynt of Lucknow on Tuesday of
this week. •
Mr. Joynt received a letter
from D. A. Sinclair of Sin -Fr -lit
Investments Ltd. of Mississauga
stating, in part that his firmha
now been cleared to -proceed with
a new branch for the Royal.B.ank
on.the Sinmac.property next to
the Liquor Control Board store on
Willoughby Street. He said that
they expected to start construc-
tion within a month. •
Mr. Joynt has been in close
contact .with Sinmac since the
property was purchased from.
Robert Symes sometime ago.
There has been considerable pub-
lic. speculation as to who would
build on the property, and des-
pite thefact..:that„the Royal had •
been rumoured, this announce-
ment to Mr. Joynt on Tuesday is
the first official public release on
the matter. • :

Diecl Suddenly
• Frank J. Hamilton, a resident
of Lucknow and 'a former Ashfield
Township farmer for many years,
died suddenly at his home in
Lucknow on Sunday, June 3rd. He
was 76 years of age'.
The funeral was held. on Tues-
day from the MacKenzie Memor-
ial Chapel with burial in Green-
hill Cemetery.

has been appointed manager of the
Bank of Montreal in Meaford ef-

Ted has been associated with
the bank head office in Toronto in
the credit department for the past
three years. Prior to that he was

years.
Mrs. Collyer, the former
Sandra Edgar of Gorrie, and their
two children Chris and Lisa, will
join Ted in Meaford when housing
becornes available.
