Weather Balloon •
•Found At Belfast
Larry Nicholson, son of Mr.
and Mrs., Chester Nicholson of
Belfast, found a United States
weather balloon on Monday while
plowing on their farm, the form-
er Brown Harper place between
the 9th and 10th concessions.
The .balloon and mechanism had
been seat up at Flint, Michigan,
on November 3, 1972 and instrue-
tions were not to return it if found.

Apparently the mechanism had
been on the Nicholson farm for
some time but had gone unnoticed
until Larry was plowing Monday.
Attached to the mechanism for
recording the weather was a
balloon, which was broken and a
parachute for lowering the device
to the ground.
