Holyrood Lady
Died Suddenly
MRS. JAMES' SMITH
The death of Mrs. James' Smith
of,Holyrood occurred suddenly at
her home on Thursday, May 3rd
following a massive cerebral
hemorrhage. She was 65.
She was the former Jean Donald
son, daughter •of Thomas Donald-
son and Mary Baptist, 'and\ was
born in Culross Township. on Aug-
ust 10, 1907. ..
On May 12, 1934 she married
James Henry, Smith. They have
been residents'of Holyrood since
1940. •
Mrs. Smith is survived by her
husband; four sons, 'Donald of
Scarboro , Douglas of St. Agatha,
Harold of Holyrood, Robert of
North Bay; nine grandchildren;
. one sister Mrs. Peter (Loretta)
Moffat of Kincardine and two
brothers Alex Donaldson of Tees -
water and Jim Donaldson of Wing -
ham. •
She was predeceased by two
brothers, Bill and Bob and one
sister, Mrs. Bert (Louise) Thorn-
ton, all of Teeswater.
The funeral service was held
at MacKenzie Memorial Chapel,
Lucknow on Monday, May 11.
Rev. George Garrett, minister of
Kinlough Anglican Church, con-
ducted the service.
Pallbearers were Gordon Don-
aldson'; Gerald Baptist ,,,Harold
Ha mptoh , Charles Srnith, Doug
Donaldson, Lorne Peters.
Interment was in Teeswater
Cemetery.
Mrs. Smith' was a member of
'the Anglican Church of Ascen-
sion,
Kinlough; a. member of the
Anglican Church Women's Assoc-
iation and the Holyrood Wome n s
