Mrs.. Ronald Thacker was host-
ess for the meeting of the Anglic-
an Church Women at her home
on Thursday afternoon May 10th.
Mrs. Gertrude Walsh was in
charge and gave a thought for to-
day. Mrs. Art Haldenby read the
scripture and prayers followed.
The Prayer partners' secretary,
Mrs. Howard Thompson announc-
ed that our prayer partners Rev.
and Mrs. George.Honour will be
moving to Carrot River, Saskat -
chewan where they will carry on
their ministry. In keeping with.

gave a splendid meditation on
"Mother", from the book "Keep-.
ers of the Springs". Everyone
answered .the roll call with "A
woman of the. Bible" . Prayer was
offered for the husband and /tam
ily of a faithful A.C.W. mem-
ber the late Jean Smith.. The
social convener, Mrs.. Bert Nich-
olson expressed appreciation to
those who assisted with the lunch-
eon after the funeral at the•Holy-
rood Hall.
This being a work meeting a
quilt was quilted during the after-
noon and the meeting closed
with prayer and .Grace.
Delicious refreshments were
served by the hostess assisted by
Mrs.' Howard Thompson and Mrs.
Bert Nicholson. Mrs. Roy
Schneller gave the courtesy re-
marks.
Mrs. George Graham will be
the June hostess. Mrs. David
Haldenby and Miss Edna Boyle
are program conveners.
Trinity UCW:
The May meeting of Trihity
United -Church Women was held in
the Church basement on Thursday
afternoon with an attendance of
21 ladiee' and 6 children.
Mrs. Jim Hunter opened the
meeting with a short poemand
then hymn 124 was sung, .follow-
ing which all repeated the Lord's
Prayer. Mrs. Wm. Livingston
read the scripture, and the medita-
tion was given by Mrs. Chester
Hackett. Mrs. Livingston then
read a verse about an Indian
Mother and .Mrs. Hackett closed
he devotions with prayer.
The ladies of Trinity are invit-
ed to Kingsbridge Church on June
12 at 9 p.m. to hear Mrs. M.
Gensen who is to give a talk on
foods. We were reminded of our
'Church Anniversary to be held
June 3. The ladies plan to clean
the Church the preceding Tues-
day. Our June meeting Will be
the Grandmother's meeting and '
we hope to have a good attend-
ance for it.

Mrs..A11x'Hackett led the
Bible -Study which she conducted
with a question and answer period
on the parable of the wedding
dinner. Mrs. Warren had the
Study Book which she presented in
the ;form of a skit with 2 doctors
and a nurse and several patients as
the cast, giving us a good exam-
ple how some of our work in the
U.C.W. can get in wrong chan-
nels if we are not careful. Mrs.•
Chester Hackett then gave a short
reading on kindness•and charity.
Mrs. Alex Hackett then read some
wise sayings about worry, friends
and Missions and closed with, a
short part of the Trinity Tattler.
The meeting closed with hymn
129. The annual spring plant sale
was then held,. with Mrs. Charles
Wilkins taking,the auctioneer's
task. A dainty, lunch was
served by the committee in •
charge., The hostess for the June
meeting is Mrs. Allan Ritchie.
Busy Buddies
The Busy Buddies held • their •
meeting in the Presbyterian Church
basement on Thursday, May 10th.
Miss Jean. Scott of Goderich at-
tended this meeting in order to •
speak .to the group. Audrey Mac-
Donald attended and. made the
introductions.
Yoga exercises opened this
meeting and since Linda Johnston
was not present .everyone contri-
buted to,this p,art of the program..
Unknown to the group Miss Scott
had done extensive study of yoga
and therefore all benefited a
great deal by her presence.
Call to worship was given by
Marg Wilson .. The scripture read -
ing Psalm 67 was repeated in uni-
son. Hymn 469 was sung, 0
Master Let Me Walk With Thee
Marg Wilson led in prayer. '
Miss Scott gave an interesting
talk on psychology and dealt main=
ly with children. • She touched on
self -analysing and the power of
thought. It was an interesting
talk and thoughts were expressed
by the ladies throughout.
A delicious lunch was enjoyed,
served by June Gilchrist and. Irene
Haldenby. It was at this time
that a gift of appreciation was.
presented to Miss Scott.
Over tea and coffee it was dec-
ided about the next meeting to
be June 12th and this will
be the last meeting unti4 fall. •
It was also decided ,to write to . .
Dominion Life Choir in Waterloo
to ask if they might come to the
Church too put on a concert early
next fall. Possibly these funds
could be used for a nursery.
