Centre Board, in charge of this
project, is a combined group

The Ripley Recreation Commit-
tee is comprised of Ken Mac -
Donald , chairman; Mrs. Ted
Rouse, Rod MacDonald, Dan
Dodds, Dave Henderson and Bill.

The HuronTownship Recrea-
tion Committee is made tip of Al-
lan Irwin, chairman; Bert Elliott,
Elmer. Courtney, John D. MacKay ,
Robert Emerson and Earl Tout.
These two groups combined,
known as„the Ripley -Huron Com-
munity Centre Board have elected.,
Robert Emerson as -their chairman
and Bill McCreath as secretary.
The chairman, Robert Emerson,
'is also, deputy -reeve of Huron
Township.

The Lucknow Sentinel was cit
ed for service to community in
the 1962 Canadian Weekly News-
papers Association Community
Service Competition for service
"beyond the normal call of duty",
in the words of the judges and
was awarded second place. First
prize was awarded to the Delor- "
aine Times, Manitoba. Third.
prize was given to Powell River
News; British Columbia. The
Sentinel was judged on its con-
tribution to the local campaign
to raise $20,000. for the installa •
tion of artificial ice in Lucknow.
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Burrell of
Peterborough took over the May-
fair Restaurant from Mr. and
Mrs. Wilson. Loder. '
The Lucknow Branch of Silver-
wood Dairies placed a huge van
in operation the first of Septem -
ber for transporting butter, eggs'
and cream. It was'a refrigerat-
ed van; 22 feet by

Centre, when he spoke at the
annual meeting of the Bruce., Duf•
ferin, Grey Tuberculosis and Res-
piratory Disease Association in
Varney recently. This was the.
4th Annual Meeting of the Christ-
mas Seal Association, and more
than 70 persons were present.,
many of them doctors and nurses
to hear of the work being done
inrehabilitating these children.
Dr. Williams explainedwhile
there was no cure,' with proper
diagnosis medication and exer-
cise a child need not feel he is a
cripple but can do most of the
things normal, children can do.
However , he said, the child must
realize that he can never become
a national sports hero.
Speaking to the Association
Dr. .Williams said he
hoped that classes for Asthmatic
Children can be started in the.

Knowledge •of how 'to handle an
