WILLIAM CARMAN HAMILTON
Funeral mass was said Monday,
March 19 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's
Roman Catholic Church. Simcoe;
for William Carman Hamilton,
66, of R. R. 1 Simcoe .who died
March 16 at Norfolk General Hos-
pital.

Sunda)i, at 8 p.m.
Carman was born and educated
in Lucknow and was the son of
tlw •late Mr. and. Mrs. Jack Ham-
ilton. He moved to the Simcoe
district from Lucknow four years
ago. Mr. Hamilton was a mem-
ber of St. Michael's Roman
Catholic Church, Walsh, and the
Independent Order of Foresters.
He served with the
,Royal Canadian. Army during.
World War II.
Surviving besides his wife, the
former Mildred Krentz, whom
he married in Port Dover 25
years ago are a brother , Garnet
of Hamilton and a sister, Miss
Verna Hamiilton of Lucknow.
Pallbearers were Glen, Richard,
Wes and. Gary Krentz, Richard
Nie and John Hamilton, all
nephews.

rate established for each of the
26 municipalities under the Huron
County board of education system
has been made available by R. B:
Dunlop , superintendent of business
affairs. •
The budget, which at no time
reached an open meeting of the
board , passed in a .committee-of-
the-whole session April 16, the
date of the board's regular month-
ly meeting. Its contents were re-
leased to the press nine days lat-
er to indicate a 3.4 per cent 4n-
'crease in the board's spending ov
last year. ,
Education costs in Huron will
increase $398,262..during the cal.
endar year 1973.. This means an
average increase of 2.1 mills
,for Huron taxpayers. •
