McMILLAN
TeeSWAter and Kinlough Pente-
costal Churches have a hew. pastor
in the person of Robert McMillan
who moved into the manse in
Teeswater last week and has be-
gun his duties in the Teeswater
and Kinlough Pentecostal charge.
Robert McMillan is a*native of
Norwood. His wife Betty was
born in the West'and whose family

now reside at Stratfoid. They are '
both'1972 graduates of Easteth
Pentecostal Bible College at
Peterborough. Mrs. McMillan
is also a school teacher.
The MCMillans, who have
cotne from charge at Tillson-
burg , are replacing Pastor and
Mrs. Paul Cassidy who moved
recently to Timmins.

students received word last week
of acceptance into the Opportun-
ities for Youth program sponsored
by the federal government. Two
representatives from Ottawa
had suggested the possiblities of
such a program while talking at
RDHS last March

Thre group of teenagers plans
to set up and maintain a child's
playground for ten weeks during
the coming summer months. Not
only will this summer program
I provide activity for the child
during the months of JUne. July
and August, but it will direct
his interests 'into creative and
educational channels, as well.

Sells Property To
Terry Rathwell
M. D..King recently sold his
property at the northern out-
skirts of the village to Terry
Rathwell of Lucknow. The
Rathwell family have taken up
residence in the hOrne.
• Mr. and Mrs. King, came to
Lucknow in October of 1966
from Toronto when they purchas=
ed the hOme of Harry Gill. Mrs.
King's death occurred in Nov-
ember ,'1971.
Mel is now residing at
Gannon's Narrows on Buckhorn
Lake, 5 miles north of the ham-
let of Ennismore and about 14
miles from Peterborough. Mrs.
Torn Cook and Mrs. Art Cook,
daughter's of Mr. King; both have
property on the lake.
Worden Howald
Died Suddenly
Warden Howald Lucknow con-
tractor, died suddenly on Tues-
day morning of this week while
at Henderson Lumber" Company
in Lucknow. He had gone to
pick, up a load of blocks. He was
dead on arrival at Wingham' Hos-
pital.
Funeral arrangements for Mr.
Howald, who would have been
62 years of age on May 10th,
were not complete at time of
publication:

ness and Dick will be in charge
of the business there. A resident
of Wingham . and fOrmerly•a
farmer in Ashfield Township, he
has commuted to Lucknow from
Wingham during his.seven years
employment with the Co-op.
Dick will, be succeeded as Co-
op store' manager by Bill Searle,
of Lucknow who for a number of
years, has, been in charge of the-
Co-op petroleuin sales and deliv-
eries.

Barbara Cameron, daught er. of
Mrs. Kenneth Cameron of Luck-
now and the late Mr: Cameron, • -
commenced work on May. 1st as an
associate of Dr. Stewart Leedham
and Dr. Alex Strong at the Wing-
ham Veterinary Clinic.
. Barbara has received word that
she has.been successful in her fin-
al examinations at the Ontario
Veterinary College at , Guelph ,
after completion of six years of
study. She will graduate May
26th.
Lucknow Fire Department was
out for several hours on Thursday
afternoon of last 'week to a fire at
the Orm of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel
Stutzman on the 9th 'of West Wawa.

Mr. and Mrs. Stutzman recently
purchased the Donald Murray farm,
Cardboard boxes were being burn-
ed a plowed field and with a
sudden change in the wind direc-
tion, the fire goninto a pile of
rails and wood located beside a
steel storage shed.
The efforts of the Lucknow Fire
Department throughout the after-
noon, assisted by the faCt that
the building had a steel covering,
saved "a serious fire loss on the
'farm.
Lawti James; Ripley storekeep-
er, had his business place burg-
larized on Saturday night of last
week.
When Mr. James went to the
store about 9 a -.m. Sunday morn-
ing, he found that the store had
been entered forcibly through a
back„entrance off an alleyway •.
ProvinCial Constable Andy
BUrgess of Kincardine investigat-
ed the break-in and found that
cash, as well at meat, cigarettes
and other items had been stolen
from the store. No damage was
done to the store.
Further 'investigation was
slated for Monday by officers of
the Mount.Forest detachment.
It is the first time the store
