On Tuesday, April 10 the Si.
Helen's Women's Institute held
their annual Sunshine Sister ban-
quet in the Holyrood hall. The
Holyrood, W.I. ladies served a
.delicious turkey dinner to 34 .1ad-
ies.
After the dinner Mrs. Harold
Gaunt expressed thanks to the
Holyrood ladies for catering for
the banquet.
Mrs. Gordon Struthers, Mrs.
Peter Chandler and Mrs. Gordon
MacPherson had charge of the
entertainment ,for-the evening.

The regular April session of:
West 'Wawanosh Township Council
was held one week later than
usual, on the 10th of April, at the
Hall.. All members were in
attendance, Reeve Lyons presided.
The minutes of the March meet ,
ing were ,read and adopted On mo-
tion .of Councillors Durnin and
Foran.
At 9.00 p.m. Council sat as
Court of Revision on the Dungan-
non Drain' No. 2 Assessments.
Following the Court of 'Revision,
Robt. Hallam presented a tile
drainage loan application to Coun•
cil, which was accepted on mo-
tion of Councillors Rutherford and
Durnin.

Mrs. Peter Chandler introduced
the guest speaker Mrs.. George
Kennedy.
Mrs. Kennedy spoke on the
Carribbean cruise which she and
her husband George had enjoyed
recently, She also showed slides.
This was very much enjoyed by
all.
Mrs. Ross Errington thanked
Mri. Kennedy and presented her
with a gift.
A sing-along was enjoyed with
Mrs. E. W. Rice at the piano.
