it is tagged, it will be returned
to the •owner and a penalty charg-
ed, If no tag is found on the
animal, the dog is' taken to the
pound for a set period of time

Stratford has been promoted to
Accounting Supervisor for Ban-
croft District effective June 1.
Roy has been with the Stratford
District for the past I4 1/2 years.
Roy is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Jim Keane of Lucknow. He is
married to the former Marlene
Hunter, daughterof Mr. and Mrs.
Wm ...G. Hunter of. Lucknow , who

now Sentinel has received a
handbook outlining in full, de-
tailed facts pertaining to the
curriculum and program at the
school.
The introduction of the hand-
book contains history, Of the
school; a list of former princip-
al's, a floor plan of the building,
objectives', School policy and a
wealth of information for the
prospective student.

Will be head instructor and in
charge of, pool maintenance when
the new Lucknow and District
Swimming Pool opens this sum-
mer.
His assistant wi11, be Brenda
Bushell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
.Max Bushell 'of Luc'know.
The ktrnmer plans for the pool
have be6n formulated. There'
will be two instruction sessions
in July and August. The pool
has been set out in five instruc-
tion areas with accommodation
of up to 300 students a day. Clas-
ses will be held in the morning.
Public swimming will be held in
the, afternoon and evening with
provision made for adult instruc-
tion in the evening.
Interviews have been held
for the engaging of five more
life guard-instructors but the
decisions were not available at
time of writing.

Meat Market
An important business transac-
tiOn was completed this week
when Button's Meat Market in
Lucknow, 'owned by Russ Button,
was Sold to Don Scrimgebur of
8eaforth. •
Mr. `Scrimgeour ,a butcher em-
plo,yed in Seaforth, is married
with two young boys and will
take over the business on May 1st.'
The sale was completed by
B. A. McDonagh Real Estate of
Lucknow. It includes the
butcher business, the main street
building with retail store and ..
apartment and the abattoir west

the April meeting last week, vot-
ed to engage a canine control
officer for:t he village of Lucknow
at a price of $600. '
• The village clerk had been in
touch with Dick Eisler of Goder-
ich who advised that he would
perform the duties of canine con-
trol officer (dog catcher) for
this fee;
