On Wednesday evening 'March
21 a shower was held•in the United
Church Sunday School room •for
bride-to-be Miss Anne Weber..
Mrs. Milian Moore was Master
of Ceremonies. 0n the arrival
of Miss Weber she was presented
with,a corsage .and escorted to a
seat of honour decorated with •
streamers and'white wedding bellS.
The' programme 'began with com-
munity singing, My Wild Irish
Rose, Let me call you Sweetheart,
You are my Sunshine, It isn't any •
tro1uble to smile. Mrs: Garnet
Farrier was pianist.
Mrs. Dan Tiffin gave a piano
solo: Mrs. Robert Ross gave read-
ings, A warning to Girls, A Man
at his work, and Husbands. Miss
Shirley Tiffin sang a solo accord-7
panied by pianist Nliss Joan Tiffin.
Mrs. Moore then told a humorous
story-of the aged woman and the
burglar. Mrs. George Thompson
conducted a.'humorous contest.
The gifts were brought in by "(
Mrs. Dave Gibb and Mrs. Fred
Tiffin. Anne was•assisted in
opening the gifts by Miss Shirley
Tiffin and her sister Mrs. Gary
Jamieson. The. gifts consisted
of pie plates, chinaware, table
mats, set of bowls, oven mitts,
towels, cannister set, chip and
dip dish, cushions, bathroom
scales, electric kettle, electric
iron and ironing board and pad.
Anne 'thanked all for coming,
for their loyely gifts and invited
them to visit her at her
,apartment in Wingham. '
All then sang For She's a Jolly .Good ' The sponsors serv-
ed lunch.

Annie. MacGregor is back with
us again, after having her appen-
dix removed in Kincardine Hos-
pital just before the Winter Break.
Larry Coiling spent some of, his

al March 27 with concussion and
abrasions to head and face when
an elm tree he was cutting fell
on him.

1 Wingharn, host control of his
car and it entered the creek at
the Wingham Lower Town corn-
er. He was admitted to hospital
with head injuries, C4cial
abrasions and abdominal abra-
sion. Investigated 'by Wingham
O.P.P. Balzer. ,
Miss Annie McKinrion, R. R.
Wingharn, was admitted and
transferred to Victoria Hospital;
via ambulance, following a fall
at home which injured her left
eye. She also received contu-
sions, to her arms and knees.
