Ashfield School, one of the earl-
iest central schools in this area.
The section later became part
of the Ashfield -West Wawanosh
School Area known. as Huron
County School Area No. 2 and
which in later years, was corn-
.prised of two schools; North Ash-
field and Brookside.
About 21 students on lots l'to

Marine and General Hospital,
Goderich on Wednesday, March
28th in his 74th year.
Funeral service was held at
MacKenzie Memorial •Chapel;

etery.

Fred 'MacLeod of Lexington, Mich-

Paddling down the Maitland
River from Zetland Bridge to Ben-
miller in three canoes on Sunday
were', Jim McEwan and two. sons,
Jamie and Kenny, Lloyd Graham,
Rick King and William Dickie .
They covered the fifty mile trip
in about six hours.
