The first meeting of the St,
Helen's Happy Handi-Crafters.
was held in St. Helen's Hall on
Tuesday, March 20. with 19
girls present.
The election of officers took
place with `the following elected:
President Club No. 1, Dayle .
MacDonald; President Club Nd.
2, Beverley MacPherson; Secret-
ary. Janet MacPherson; Treasur-
er, Genevieve Kinahan; Press ,
Reporter., Verna Aitchison.
The Leaders of this Club are
Mrs. Gordon 'MacPherson and
Mrs. Ernest Gaunt. Assistant
leaders are Mrs. Ross arington
and Mrs. James R. Aitchisbn.
The roll call was answered by
the members. The next meeting
will be 'held March 28 at 7.00 ,
in the St. Helens Hall.
The objectives of the club and
the requirements,of the members
were outlined. Each girl is to
equip'a sewing box. We also
discussed knowing knits, types of
knits, fibers, for knits, stretch fab-
rics, and choosing sportswear.
Several members demonstrated the
proper way of taking measure-
ments. The meeting closed
with the 4-H Pledge.

• The third meeting of the
Zippy Trinettes was held in Trin-
ity Church basement on SatUrcia,Y,
March 24 at 1.15 p, in. The
meeting opened with the 4-H
pledge led by the president Mary
Anne Alton. There were nine
members present.
The roll call was answered by
the members. The next meet=
ing will be Ts/larch 31 at 1.15 in
the church basement. Susan
Irvin read the minutes of the
last meeting. Home assignments
were taken up. The books are to
be handed in'at the next meet-
ing with the' 3rd meeting cotleti

Dairy and Beef calf club met.
We had an election of officers
as follows: President, Jim Nivins;
Vice President, Linda Dougherty;
Secretary , Donna Hackett; Press.
Reporters, Neil Sager and Shawn
Drennan.
• Mr. Len MacGregor showed us
a film-called "A 'second Chance'.
We had fun,playing games and
also had a sing song. The club
had fun. We will meet on the
second Tuesday in every month
starting in May.

The seventh meeting of the
P.00d/y.Dozen was held Monday,
Match 26th at the Lucknow . Cen-
tral Pliblic,School. The 4-H
Pledge opened the meeting. Roll
call was answered ky eleven
members. , call was "Your
opinion of this club". Diane
MacKenzie read the minutes of
the last meeting. They were
approved. Elaine Whitby gave ,the
treasurer's report. The date for
Achievement Day was set for May
5th. It was decided upon to com-
bine the eighth and ninth meet-
ings so as:to give enough time
to finish.
Mrs. Boyle went over how to do
Two Colour Prints. This is used
when doing a flower, for example,
when the leaves and Stern, are one
colour and the petals are another.
Art gum erasers were used to do
these prints.
The meeting closed with the
4-H Creed.

The Clover Valley, Artistic 7
4-H club had their 9th meeting
_at the home of Donna Elphick
Friday. afternoon, March 23rd.
This meeting was one of the op-
tional meetings. We opened the
Meeting with the 4-H pledge.

• meeting. Mrs. Hamilton led a
discussion on Lino block printing.
