The annual ,Thankoffering Meeting was set for April 11 and plans made for it. A lovely solo by. Mrs. Eunice I Dunsmuir aCcompanie'd by Mrs. Pritchatd, was much enjoyed. Mrs. Pritchard introduced our • guest demonstrator, Mrs. Leonard McInnes, who then showed how she decorates a cake. As Mrs; - Salkeld had.a birthday on March 17 the cake was decorated as a birthday cake and with St. Pat- rick's colours. Mrs. McInnes had made and' decorated a "Lady Cake" and this_ was drawn for, with Mrs. Harold " Cooper being the very lucky.win- ner. Freda's demonstration really • held the attention of all present and everyone enjoyed hearing about the general procedures. • The closing thought, was taken by Mrs. Ernest Gaunt and the meeting closed with '.a hymn and the benediction. Mrs. Ackert expresSed thanks on behalf of the units. We sang the hymn "When I survey the Wondrous Cross' With piano accompaniment by Mrs. Harvey Webster. Mrs. Gordon Cayley gave a reading "Stones are. Heavy". Mrs. Allan Johnson favored with a 'solo. Mrs. Gordon Montgomery accompanied on the piano. The scripture was read by. Mrs. Ander- son. and Mrs. Ackert followed with prayer. Mrs. Ackert showed a film on Forest Lawn Memorial Park which is situated .in California. Mrs. Cliff CraWford, read the scripture preceding the first part "The LaSt Supper". Mrs. Bob Campbell read the scriptUre preceding "The Crucifixion" and Mrs. Gerald PriestaP read the scripture before the "Resurrection". Pretbyterian MIS KINLOUGH NEWS The Presbyterian Women's • Missionary Society, met on Wed - ,nesday afternoon, March 21st at the home of Mrs. Frank MaUlden with -Mrs. Jack Barr presiding and giving a reading on "Time". The Purpose Was repeated.. The missionary report on Muriel Copeland of Crete' was given by• Mrs.' DOn BUshell . A film strip on Saul was shown. Mrs. Glen Haldenby and Mrs. Alex Percy had the program. A chapter of the study book "Too Many Mouths to Feed" and a panel , "The green revolution" was in charge of Mrs. Glen Haldenby. Those taking part were. Mrs. Torn MacDonald, Mrs. Ken MacDonald, Mrs. Ruth Wilson, Mrs, Lyman Sutton: Mrs. Ale,x Percy bead the scripture. Mrs. Glen Haldepby took the Bible Study "Questions and answers".
