Dear Don,' This week I received a boX of basic canvasser kits. and•Other campaign aids from the Walkerton unit of the Canadian Cancer Soc- iety, so I decided I would write to you again; and see if betVgeen us we could organize a local can7 vass for the Cancer Society. No doubt you remember the tremen- dous support Lucknow and District gave the cancer drive last year. Donations at campaign time were over $1300.00. April has been set aside again as the month to have our door-to- door canvass and to educate the public regarding "cancer facts for '73". We can't have a. campaign without volunteers. Last year many willing workers came forward and offered their, services If we conld 'have the 'same re- sponse this year , we can proudly say that we're doing our part to aid in cancer research and serv- ice to patients. Men as well as women are needed tb canvass. Did you know that in some towns, it's the men who' Min the whole • campaign? Let's work together to beat cancer, because it can be beaten.
