Dear Donald,
I got, several Sentinels in the
past two Weeks and I .see that
my subscription'has run out. I
therefore want to renew it with-
out delay.
I wonder if, at the same .time,
I. might •ask you to pass on, a
small donation to the camPaign
for the swimming pool..
From reports in the Sentinel,
I think your campaign for the
pool has been quite a success,
and ..I hope •this will just be a be-
ginning of local improvements
aided and abetted by ex-citizens.
Perhaps building the pool will
give the council the Incentive to
improve the Caledonian Park.
It needs, trees and Sod and a
paved entrance to get rid of
some of the dust. The town,
generally is one of the cleanest
looking, but not that park.
Lucknow is fortunate in hav-
ing two rivers.. bUt little has
been done to, improve them. The
water could be controlled and
deepened to provide boating and
fishing k,
Street..
There are also,many acres ,
alOng both rivers, which co
corm beautiful park land.
0 yes! I learned to swirni

I was thrown off the bridseaf
