An Irish program was enjoyed
at, the March meeting of the
Ripley Wompt'S InStitute in the
Legion Hall. Mrs. Joe Scott,
program convener, gave a paper
an St., Patrick "Why the Irish
Smile". Each member. gave an
Irish jOke for the roll call;
' Mrs. Kirkpatrick and Mrs.
John Al MacDonald led a' sing
song of Irish song's with Mrs. Mac
Kenzie at the piano. Plans were
made for card parties. The. Dist-
rict Directors meeting is March
20th in Lucknow Town Hall.
Mrs. Kirkpatrick reported cin •
citizenship and Mrs. Blue on Cul•
tural activities.
Mrs. McLean Volunteered to
convene the blind canvass, in the
fall. Volunteers, were received for
the cancer canvass. Mrs. Kirk-
patrick will attend officers con-
ference at Waterloo University
in May., Mrs. Lock and Mrs.
Blue are the nominating commit-
tee:
The next, meeting is ,,a pot luck
luncheon in April and it will be

was enjoyed with Mrs. Lock and

three-tier white wedding cake
decorated with pink roses and
Silver leaves. The Oahe was

The bride's mother chose a
long' gown with blaCk top, long
sleeves and'a patterned skirt. A
red 'carnation corsage and silver
accessories were also worn.
