All members then made a design on a 2" x,3" eraser. We closed with the motto. The fifth meeting of the Clover Valley Artistic "7" was held on February 20 at the hoMe of Wendy Hamilton. We opened the meeting with the 4-.H pledge after which the roll call was answered by all members. The minutes of the last meet- ing were read' by Laurie Coiling. The 'way .to reverse a design was demonstrated by Mrs. ,Ray Hamil,- Mrs. David Elphick demonstrat &I designing and making a block using glue-on method. Learning Lassies ' The Lucknow No. 1 Club had their fifth meeting at the LUcknow Central Public School on Pebrnary.22 at 7.00 p.m. We opened with the 4-H Pledge. Gordon and Kay Bailey op,ened a beauty salon in the Breckles building on Main Street. They had come to Lucknow from Sutton, where they had previously been in the hairdressing business. 40 YEAR . AUGUST 1932 • Lucknow Continuation and Public School teachers had to undergo salary reductions. Teach. ers had been notified accordingly and had uriVil July 14th to accept, or resi n /their positions. The Continuation School principal's salary was reduced to $1850, with other three teachers receiving $1300, $1250 and $1050. The Public School teachers also had to accept a salary reduction. Rey .
