home of the Clerk.
The February session of West
Wat4anosli Township Council
was held on Tuesday afternoon,
February, at the Clerk's home,
all members, in attendance
and Reeve LjiOn.s presiding.
The minutes of the 1973 inaug-
+ tirar session were read and adopt-
ed on motiOns of Councillors
Hickey and. Foran.
A delegation from Dtmgannon,
consisting of Messrs. Aubrey
gins, Graham McNee and John
Errington, presented their, views •
on and objections to the present
; plan for construction of the Dun-
gannoti Drain No. 2. They
f,44 remained to talk to engineer,
Doug ,Gamsby , who promised to
look into the points raised, to
imake certain the proper proced-
ure would be foilowed.a.nd.th4t
it would be the most satisfactory
and economical way,to handle

A motion by7'Coitnoillors Foran

erintendent an, increase of thirty-
cents per hour, to .$2.80 per hour

Two appointments were made to

Wawanosfi Township, on the Auburr.
Hall Board. Harold Errington was
re-,appointed to Maitland Valley
Conseryation Authority for a two-
year term.
.It was an unanimous decision
to cancel the Warble Fly Spraying
in West Wawanosh thiS year. It,
will be each individual farmer's
own responsibility to, have the
cattle treated for warbles, if this
should be their wish. 'The pro-
gram., in the last feW years, h
not been at all effective , as car -
ried, out, and thus the decision
to cancel it.

The death. of Mrs. Melvin Web-
, ster of Queen Street in Clinton
• occurred at Victoria', Hospital,
London on'February 5, 1933 after
an illness of one.month. She was
63. •
Mrs. Webster was born the form.
er Catherine Johnston. to the late.
Wellington and Mary Ellen John-
stone on November 16, 1909 in
Stanley Township.
She attended S. S, No. 6 /
' Stanley Township and Clinton
High School and , on April 4,.1931
she married Melvin L. Webster
„in her parent's home in Stanley
Township. . •
Mr. Webster was formerly of
the LucknoW'area , just west of
Town, where he was born: He
left,here and went to Varna in
1920.
After their marriage , the couple
resided in Stanley Township un-
tit1948 and then moved/to Varna.
They moved from Varna to Clin-
ton in 1967. .
Mrs. Webster was a member. of
Ontario Street United Church and
she was a life member of the
U.C. W. . •
She is 'survived by her husband;
one son Robert of Varna; three
daughters, Mrs. Ken (Joyce)
Scotchmer of Bayfield, Mrs. Jim
(Ldis) Hart of-Brussels and Karen
at home; eight grandchildren;
two sisters, Miss Rachel Johnston
of Clinton and, Mrs. Harold
(Margaret) DowsOn of Varna; and
one brother Perqy Johnston of
Varna. She was predeceased by
one son:
Funeral service Was held on:
February 7, 1973 from the Ball
Funeral' Home in Clinton with
Rev. Lewis assisted by Rev„Mor-
rison, officiating. Interment was
Baird's Cemetery in Stanley
Township.
Pallbearers were: Aldie Must-
ard, Varna; D'arcy ,Rathwell,
Brucefield; Joe Corey ,•Jack Mack.
lin, Ward Knox, and Frank Mc-
Cowan , all of Clinton.
