with the National Anthem and •
Grace.
Mrs. Glen Haldenby and Mrs.
John Hodgins helped the hostess
and Mrs. Glenn Young serve a'
lUncheon of vegetables from soup
to dessert that was thoroughly
enjoyed by all 'present.,
Sister Passes .
In Chatham
Sister Mary Angeline Kelly of
the Pines Community, Chatham,
died in St. Joseph's Hospital',
Chatham, on Monday, January
29th, following .a long illness.
Sister Kelly was in her 54th
year in the Ursuline Religious
Order.
She was a daughter of the late
Mr. and Mrs. James
Kelly of Lucan.
Sister, Kelly „is survived by
three sisters, Mrs. Mary Hogan
of Lucknow , Mrs.. Joseph (Martha)
Ryan of 'Richmond , Michigan and
Miss Margaret Kelly of Lucan.
She was predeceased by, four
brothers and one sister.
A •Bible service 'was held on
Wednesday, January 31st at 7.30
p.m. in the Chapel.
The funeral mass was celebrat-
ed -on Thursday at 7.30 p.in.
Burial was in St. Anthony Cem-
etery; Chatham at 9 a.m. on
Friday, February 2nd'.

VOLLEYBALL by Heather Boyle
On Saturday, February 3, Rip-
ley's'boys and girls' volleyball
team travelled to Bruce Central
School in•Underwood.' They went
by a bus driven by ,Mr. Stanley.
Onroute to the tournament our
bus picked up the W, E. Thomp-
son. School in Kincardine. There.
were four teams taking part..
They were Kincardine, ,K. K.T.T.
P.S . , Bruce Central and Ripley.
Inthe boys' division, the champs
were •Kincardine-Twp-Tiverton
Public School and the consolation
winner, alas Ripley,. In the girls'
division, Ripley came out' on top
as champs. The consolation was
won by W. E. Thompson School;
in. Kintardine. Ripley put-mp a
good showing. We came home
with two pennants. Way to go!!!

Ripley and Pine River Schools
got together for a floor hockey
game on,February 8th. Goal
scorers for Pine River were Adam
Drzazga, Terry Irwin 'with 2 goals/
and a single for Christie Messeng-
er. Ripley's goals, were scored
by Shxwn Rowland and. Janice
Needham. The final score of the
game. was 4-2 for Pine River.
We hope that Pine River will
come back again soon so we can
play again.

On Wednesday, February 7th,
Pine River and Ripley met fora
match of floor hockey. • The goal
scorers for. Pine River were Heather
Boyd with 5 goals, Brian Lowry 3,
Brock Walden 3, Elaine Mitchell
2, and Anne Drzazga 2. Ripley
goals were scored by Paul Col-
ling 3, Jeff MacTavish 3, Robbie
Lee 2, Brenda Fair 1,, and Doug
Quinn 1. The final score of the
game was 15-10 for Pine River.

learn that Bill Kennedy of Wing-
ham and 'a former resident of
Whitechurch locality, underwent
surgery 'in Wingharn Hospital on
Priday. They wish him 4 speedy
recovery.
