Groundhog Emerges
In The Fog
Did the groundhog see his shad-'ow'?
The old story associated with
February 2, Groundhog Day, still
stays with us. •
There, seems to be a difference
of Opinion on the dayin,question ; •
last Friday.
According to the story , if the-
groUndhog ventures from his. hole,
and sees his, shadow , he returns
/again underground for six more
weeks expecting the worst in
weather.
If no shadow is visible , .he
'stays out and"sPring i8 about to
begin,
The only, shadow the groundhog
would see last Friday'around here
is his reflection in the fog, which
probably doesn't count.
SO it appears that sprit-10s here
'according to all groundhog wor- •
shipers, but we woUldn't count
too much' on it.
