met at the Town Hall on January
17 with 17 members' present. One
new member .joined:this week.
The Tops Pledge was repeated
land Anna. Johnstone led in a
sing song. A new Tops song was
learned this week.

gained:. Arh was crowned Queen
'of the Week. Next week a new
contest will start with the first
member to joie 16 lbs. to be the
Winner, Sharon White won the
draw.

THAT Richard Bhere has com-
menced work locally at the
sank of Montreal as administra
tion manager. He Cbmes from
the Chatsworth branch. Mr.
Briere is. married with two aild-
ren; He succeeds Hilary Missere
at. the Lucknow branch. 'Hilary,
a native of Mildmay, will cease
his employment here/ at the ,.
end of the month and plans to
further his, education.
THAT Mrs.. Harold' Ritchie of
Lucknow , an employee of The
Lucknow Sentinel fOr.about
6 1/2 years, has given
up her position effective,at the
end of the year. Mrs. Ritchie
has continued for several days in
January while her replacement,
Mt:s. Bill Moffat of Lucknow,
was. being introduced to the
work.
THAT Mrs. Lloyd Hall, kinder-
garten teacher at Lucknow Cen-
tral Public School was ill last r
week and on Monday of this
week entered Wingham and
District Hospital. In her ab-
sence Mrs. Gordon Cayley. and
Mrs:. 'Ab Murray have been
teaching. On-Monday of next
week Mrs. Donald MacIntyre •
will take over the kindergarten
class until Mrs. Hall's return.
THAT Rev. Glenn Noble, minis-
ter of Lucknow Presbyterian
Chuich was in Montreal on Thurs-
day and Friday Of last week at a
joint committee meeting be- .
tween the Presbyterian Chinch in
Canada and the United Presbyter-
ian Church in the United States.
Rev. Noble-is a member of the
committee dealing with young
people working under the.Board
of Christian EducatiOn of the
thurch.'-. He travelled by air to
Montreal and attended the Meet-
ing at the Presbyterian College
there discussing progranis and
'ways of co-cation in youth
work betwee churches. in
the two countries.
THAT' LucknOw Scouts were in
Teeswiter 'last Friday night and
played a' broomball game ,
against Teeswater -Scouts, Tees-
water winning 2-1. •
