Maple syrup season is fast approaching and maple syrup producers are beginning to' think and, plan for the maple' syrup harvest. To keep producers up-to-date on maple syrup technology, series of Information Meetings will be held at 13 locations in Ontario. These meetings are sponsored by the Mipistry ,of Agriculture and Food, • the Ministry of Natural Resour- ces, and the Ontario Maple Syrup Producers' Association. The gulifects under discussion will include "Problems in Maple Syrup PrOduction", by a panel of maple syrup producers, "How the Recreational Aspect Can Increasep A Maple Syrup 'Producer's In- come", by W. A. Humphryes, and "Maple Bush Management As- sistance Available from the Min istry of Natural Resources", by E. Danes. A film called' "Ontario Maple Syrup Producers" will be shown at all meetings. This film shows how several Modern maple syrup operations work. The boys played three games, Kingsbridge winning two and Brookside one. Grobmsman was John Beishuizen 'of Sarnia , brother 'of the groom. Ushers were Lenny Kleefnian of Port Huron, Michigan, cousin of the groom and 'Jim Brooks of R. R. 4 Ripley, brother of the bride. Mrs. Ambrose Gamble of Rip- ley was organist. A reception followed at the - Turnberry Tavern, Wingham. • The bride's mother chose a, princess style gown of turquoise blue velvet with short sleeves, black and white accessories and. . collage of red roses. • - The groom's Mother wore a gown of royal blue with stand-up ' collar, long sleeves, black and silver, accessories and corsage of yellow roses. For travelling the bride chose a brown fortrel dress and slack en- semble with black accessories and corsage of yellow roses. The couple are residing at R. R. '4 Ripley, where the, groom. 'is employed on his' father's dairy farm. Prior to her marriage, the bride was honoured at four show- ers. Guests attended the wedding from Cornwall, Toronto, Sarnia , Ripley., Detroit, Brantford, Well- esley and Chatham.
