Gordon Brooks of Lucknow is a
patient in Wingham HoSpital with
an injured hip suffered when he
slipped on the Steps of his house,
folloWing a sleet storm last Fri-
day. He was taken to hospital on
Saturday.
Mrs; Bob Nicholls of Lucknow
is a patient in Wingham and. Dist-
rict Hospital with pneumonia.
She was. admitted on Monday of
this week. Rev. Bob'Nicholls has
been ill at his home.

MrS. Wayne Nixon of Lucknow
visited in London on Sunday with
Mr. and Mrs'; Carman Nixon.

Praise" was first published, in
1897 around the time when many'
congregations were still struggling
with the question of using-an
organ in the Service of worship. -
The first revision was complet-
ed in 1918. The name was chang-
ed to, "The Book of Praise".
This book was in general use un-
Al the fall of 1972 when the pres-
ent edition was made 'available.
The present revision, the result
of 8' years of research and work,
'was authorized 'by the General
Assembly in 1964. The revision
still bears many familiar land-
marks; The Psalms at the frOnt ,of
the' book; and approximately 'one-
Ihalf of the hymns being, aken
from the previous book.

During the ceremonies Marie
Peterson, Suzanne Corrin and
Janet Wilkins were enrolled.
Marie Peterson joined the Robin
-Patrol, Suzanne Corrin became
a Swallow and Janet Wilkins join-
ed the Scarlet Tanagers.
Ettabelle MacDonald 'was
presented with her Swimmer
Badge. The Collectors Badge
went,to Janet Wilkins. Kathryn
McKi,rn received her Challenge
Badge and became a Patrollead-
er. Jill Murray became a Second-
er.
Jill Murray , Joan damilton
and Susan Thompson acted as
hostesses for the mothers.
The Robins had Campfire fol-
lowed by Vespers and Taps. ,

Dies In 20th Year
MARK KILPATRICK
The death of-Mark Elwood Kil-
patrick, son of Harvey and Gladys
Kilpatrick of Ashfield Township,
occurred at his family home on
Saturday, January 6th ,
Mark, who was in his 20th
year, was born in Goderich on
October 9th, 1953.'
Besidei his parents he, is survive
by one sister Janice, Mrs. Preston
Lediet of Wingharn and' grandpar-
ents Mr. and Mrs. Milton Kil-
patrick of Goderich and . Mr. and
Mrs. A. J. Cornish of Sarnia.
The funeral service was held
at MacKenzie Memorial Chapel, , ,1 /4
Lucknow on TUesday, January 9th. . ,
Rev. James Hummel of Trinity .
United Church was minister.
Temporary entombment was
at . South Kinloss Mausoleurn with
final resting place Greenhill
Cemetery. ,
