COME ON IN FOR THE LAST OF. THE BARGAINS •
tions. The proposal that the
N.F.U. would be the certified
collectivebargaining agent for
farmers. This is the one' thing
that, the majority of farmers agree
about is their need for a' strong
bargaining process. The Other
main, resolution passed was that
the marketing of all grains would
be under the Canadian Wheat
Board which would then be known
as the Canadian Grains Board.
Grainsare basic to all Canadian
agricultural commodities. Their,
prices directly affect the prices
of pork, beef, dairy and
poultry products. Therefore,
since they, are, in a sense the
foundation prices for most farm
products, the price of grain
I would be based on the cost of
'
production, plus a profit for the
producer.' .
