organizational meeting of the
Bruce County/Vet Club was held
on-October 24 at the Ripley
District High School with eight
interested 4-H members attending,.
This is the first vet club started
in Bruce County' with Dennis
likidge from Ripley as the leader.
Daryl Ball, the 4-H extension
Ascisrant from Walkerton and Dr.
John Lantink , D.,V.M. from Kin-

Many hidden talents came to
light last, Friday a ft ernoon when
the. Ripley Local History Group
held their Christmas Party in the
Legion Hall with a capacity and ,
ience. This program had all the
elements for success - a, capable
chairman in the person of Mrs.'
Jas. Kirkpatrick, good music,
many jokes, some unrehearsed,
and something unusual and inter-
estirtg as presented by Earl Lohnes.
The Christmas story was present-
ed in song by Mrs. Walter Lock,
Mrs. Joe Scott, Mrs. John A. Mc-
Donald; Mrs. Francis Gemruell,
Mrs. Roy MacKenzie, Mrs. Frank
Fair and Reg Moore. The same
group also told of Christmas cus-.
toms around the world. ViOlin
music was played by Frank Scott
and the McDonald brothers. A'
quartet consisting •of Mrs. Gem-
