Mr. Kieffer is returned as mem-
ber for a further 2 year term.

fourth member of council, Dr.
Peter-Bissonnette-, has--left , the
village and was not .a candidate.
George Tranter topped the poll
with191 followed-by-Rod- MacDon-
ald with 183, Howard Hodge 162,
all members of the fOrrner council.
The new councillor, placing third
in the voting, was Mrs. Ted '
(Margaret)_Rouse-with 168 votes.
Defeated in .their bid. for office
were Lloyd Wylds polling 106 and
Frank. Martel 55.

Clayton Nicholson was returned
as Ripley Reeve by acclamation.

federal elections, but Bruce Rid-,
ing Progressive Conservatives are
already makpg plans for the
next. A candidate' will be select-
ed at a meeting to be held in
Walkerton in mid-December.
Bruce was the only ridirz in
this section of the provinces re-
turn a Liberal candidate and tfie
unsuccessful PC, John Loney of'
TiVerton says he will stand for
nomination as candidate, On.
'October 30 he lost to Ross Which-
er of Wiarton b 700 votes. Mr.
Loney: also was defeated by Mr.
Whicher 'in the 1968 election, but
previously had two terms in the
federal house. ,
It is. believed that Mr. Loney
will be oppbsed for the ca•ndid-

developed , as hobbies, the skills
of ham radio Operators. Mrs.
Berry has' been•f011owing.the hobby
for two years while Mrs. Wade,
a novice, has been actively
involVed for about six months.

lor in Kinloss for six years. Or-
ville Elliott has served as Recite
for three years. and prior to that

Chisholm Fuels oil truck was
stolen sometime early Sunday ,
miming. The theft was noticed
when Mr. -and Mrs. Chisholm
Were going to ehureh.Sunday and
at first it was not known `whether
the theft was real or whether
someone was involved in a prank.
It was about .5 p.m. Sunday
when Chisholmt, through friends
and acquaintances in Goderich,
learned that the .truck was sitting
on The Square in Goderich, at
the inside -curb, and had been
there all day.
Police in Goderich had 'question
ed the driver of the vehicle about

he was a driver for Chi-sholms on
a part time basis and was, on a
call.
7 The police shift changed arid
no more notice was taken of the
parked truck until Grant Chisholm
discovered its whereabouts late
in the afternoon.
