al following a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Carter was the former
Phyllis Noreen Hutchinson, laugh
ter of the late William Hutchin-
son and Stella Badgerow and .was
born in Woodstock on January 3rd
191.
She was predeceased by her
father on December 13th, 1956.
The family •moved to Ripley
when she was 2 years of age. ' She
attended schools in Ripley and
Wingham after'which she became
an employee of the Kincardine
General Hospital. Her friendship
,to her fellow employees was ever-
lasting.
On July 18th, 1970 she married
.George s.uriel Carter of the 6th
Concession of Kinloss Township
where they made their residence.
Her love for small children and
concern for the elderly was evid-
ent whenever she came in contact
with the two. "
She is survived by, three sisters
and-one-brother-,-Mrs7-Alvery -
(Marjorie) Hayei of Ripley, Mrs.
Burton (Judith) Hayes of Kincar-
dine Township, Mrs. Albert
(Lorna) Middelkamp of Huron
Township and Fred Hutchinson of
Hamilton.

McLennan-McCreath Funeral
Home, Ripley on Wednesday,
November 22nd with Rev. G. N,
Ball of Ripley officiating.

The St. Helens 4-H club girls
along-with-their leaders attended
the Achievement Day at. Wing-
ham and District High School on
Saturday. This course was "The
Third Meal" with the spring
course being "Knits".

Iship. He said that property, tax
rebate this year would be receiv-

form, but that to be eligible,
taxes had to be paid by December
31.
