came up for discussion at the
regular meeting of Lucknow
Village Council. Recent vand
'alism and breakins in Lucknow,
as well as the absence of any
police traffic control during
the November 11 service in the
village, was cause. for discussiOn
among council members who had
received some complaints from
village residents.
THAT Bardrill Castles Hilda,
Martin's yearling.Clydesdale
filly, won,her class again at
this year's Royal Winter Fair,
Toronto. The Martin farm,is
at Paramount on Highway 86,
west of Lucknow.
THAT commencing this Saturday,
November 25th, the Lucknow
Sentinel will remain open on
Saturday afternoon from 1.30• to
5 p.m. in addition to the other
year- round hours of Monday to
Saturday noon. The Saturday
afternoon hours, from now until
Christmas., are for. the 'conven-
ience of those who might not
find it convenient to be in town
during our normal business hours.

Paramount was in attendance at
the veterans banquet on Remem-
brance Day, November '11th.
Kelso's name was omitted from
"the 'list of 1st world war vets who
were on hand that evening.

Mrs. Sparks is the wife of Lorne
Sparks, a ; retired minister , ndw in
_the antique business.,. She. is dir-
ector of music at South Kinloss
Presbyterian Church. She is the.
Inos;her_of five girls and has three
grandchildren.
MrS. Sparks commented:

In honour 'of the occasion, they
were entertained by their family

vale , had his jaw dislocated dur-
ing a hockey game at "the Wing-
ham arena. He was admitted to
hospital.
In 1971, Mrs. Sparks was invited
to lead the singing for a Biennial

right the song, she wrote three
,stanzas and combined them with
the chorus to write a whole song.
