Sadie• .Mac-Millan had: the topic on development of the horse from millions of years ago when it was a little animal, no bigger than a fox, and was known as the little Dawn Horse. It then had four soft toes which later developed into a hoof and eventually to the horse of today. She had a leg bone to show how the two center toes had fused and formed a hoof' while the two side toes went up the back of the leg bone. She had two very large blown 7 up pic- tures to demonstrate the confor- mation of the sound horse, and also the unsound horse. This was followed by forty slides from -the Arabian E-Yorse association, courtesy of Judy and Bill Geddes of Kincardine. These slides were on the selec- tion of the riding horse ; confor- mation and• bone structure and guide to follow when buying a horse. These were wonderful pictures and were shown by Ken Taylor who also gave a very infOrmative narrative along with each picture. Pbints of the horse, in question we pointed out ,by Carolyn Tay-. for.
