A Horticulture Diploma was
presented to Ada Webster for her
years, of service in the society.
Mrs. Cumming read an approp-

was sung for Mrs. Fred McQuil-
lin. The president then
called upon Mrs. Omar
Brooks to take charge of the
programme.
. Colin Cameron, accompanied
by his sister. Barbara, also Dr.
Little accompanied by Jean Cum-
ming, provided delightful in
strumental music.
Raynard Ackert proved himseil
a very fine commentator as he
showed slides taken during a trip
to Mexico, Arizona, New Mexico
and California. Mr. and Mrs.
•Frank Maulden accompanied'Ray-
nard•and Hilda Ackert on this trip.
The slides of the desert areas
visited, as well as the , beautiful
forested regions of the West Coast,
ere-very -interesting and-educk
tional.
Wm. G. Hunter expressed
thankslo all who had contributed
to the programme. Mrs. Jean
Cumming thanked' all the ,
members for their co-operation
while she was president. .Miss

The Lucknow Chapter of TOPS
met at the Town Hall on Novem-
ber 15 with 1,5 present. We have
received our charter certificate '
and with it an official' number ,
09-L-UC-k14.1.
The Tops Pledge was repeated' .
and after roll call , it was re orted
that. we lost 11 lbs. this week and
gained 9. This is only a tempor-
ary set back for those who gained.
and-Vith the encouragement of
the other Tops members, these
ladies will be back next weeks
with bigger losses than ever.
Marion Mowbray's team won.
Jane-J.-Treleaven-was crowned
'Queen of the. Week.
ft was suggested that someone
be responsible to receive' new
members or gtlests at the door and
explain the Tops program to them.

Miss Helen Macintosh left for
her home in Vancouver_ on _Tues-
day of this week after visiting
relativ'es and friends in the area.
A family gathering was held rec-
ently in the Anglican parish Hall
in her honour.
