He was 51. Mr. Steward, Technical Dir- ector of Cardiovascular Unit • Medicine , 'University of Western Ontario, was the founder of the -- He-art-Unit-, Coronary Unit, Med-4 ical Television Studio at Victor- ia Hospital, London and Technic- -a-ldv-isor-a-nd-esta-blisher-of th heart unit of the University Hos- pital. ° Very dedicated, /.11.. Steward was active in the mediCal field in diagnostic and research work for twenty-six years. He was a son of Mrs. Charles Steward and the late Mr. Stew- ard and was born in Lucknow„on June 1st, 1921, where he received his education and later attended Western University, London. In 1941 he joined the_mtal corps of the Canadian Army and served five year with the unit.. Mr. Steward is surviVed by his wife, the former Nancy Zito and one son Robert Bruce, both of London; his mother ; Mrs. Charles Steward of Lucknow; and three. sisters, Mrs. Hugh (Stella) Cum- ing of London,.Mrs. ft'f,g-(Verna)' He singled out the Agricultural' Society, Horticultural Society; Ilicknow Women'S Institute, .Legion,- Lions Club and.other_• community organizations for their contributions irrmany ways to make the community a better place to live. He made special mention of the swimming pool project and the many who have _worked towards its success.
