that some serious thought was
being given to moving up the lad-
der, only three men were nominat.

a further nomination if there was
any election action for Reeve and
-Deputy-Reeve.
Besides present Reeve Russell
Stanley, Robert Emerson was also
nominated for the top spot in the
township. Bob, the present -
Deputy-Reeve, was also nominat-
ed for that post as was councillor

Walkerton fire losses at- 74 cents

Election
A few final changes in the
nomination picture have-.clari-
fied the area situation since the
original story, appearing else-
where in this issue, was written.
•In Huron Township, 'Robert
Emerson has withdrawn his nom-
ination as'Reeve and the Reeve-
ship goes 'to Russell Stanley by
acclamation.
Elmer Sineltzer has withdrawn
his nomination as Deputy-Reeve
and this office will be filled by
Robert Emerson by acclamation.
Councillors, by acclamation -
also, are Elmer Smeltzer, Don-
ald'MacTavish and Bert Elliott.
