The intersection of the Lucknow
main street from the north, at
Johnstone Furniture, had a brake
failure about 8.50 Tuesday
morning and for a few frighten-
ing moments, the driver and
observers-fearedl-a-se-ious-accitk
ent. The Montgomery bus,
driven by Bill Hunter, made a
left turn onto the main street
and went. east. Fortunately,, at
that time, there were no other
vehicles in a positron tqq be in
collision with the moving bus
• which could not stop. Later. in-
vestigation revealed a broken
brake line.
