At Hospital
Lola Brandon, age 11, R, R. 2,
Teeswater, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Robert L. Brandon, fell off
-her-bie-yele--in front of hei horne_,
receiving abrasions to both knees,
laceration and tendon repaired on
her left knee. She was admitted
to hospital. Condition satisfac-
tory.

Richard Orr. age 22 Lucknow
was. admitted to hotpital with a
'dislocated left shoulder when he
slipped while performing on a
trampoline.

knee., Emergency treatment was
given and he was then transferred
to St. Joseph's Hospital, London.

ELIZABETH A. MURDIE
The death of Miss Elizabeth
Ann Murdie of Luatapw occurred
on Thursday, October 12th at
,Wingharn and District Hospital in
her 92nd year.
She was born in McKillop Town-
ship on March 16', 1881, a daugh-
ter of Michael Murdie and Eliza-
beth Ann Gibson.
In April 1906 Miss Murdie came
to Lucknow, as bookkeeper and
clerk for her brother William.
Murdie , who had come. from
Seaforth the previous November
to take over .the Lucknow hard-.
ware business of D. C. Taylor.

concluded a record of Achieve-
ment as she closed the booki it

Hard 'ware in Lucknow which had
previously been sold to Reg Jones
orroronto. She had given her
lifetime, in all 'sixty-three years
and .one month, to. the Murdie
Hardware. Such loyal service
is seldom equalled by an employ-.

siding for the past two years at
Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home,
was the last Member of her fam-
ily. She was predeceased by
three sisters, Miss Isobelle Murdie,
a long time teacher at Lucknow
Public School; Mrs. E. A. Cruik-
,shank of Ottawa , Mr§: Ernest
White of Seaforth and two brothers
Robert Mtirdie 'of Stratford and
William Murdie of 'Lucknow.
The funeral ser.vice> was held
.at MacKenzie Memorial Chapel,
Lucknow on Saturday, October
14th: Rev. Robert Nicholls 'of
Lucknow United Church, of which
the deteased was a' devoted
member, was minister.
Pallbearers were six grand
nephews, James Armstrong, Mich-
ael Muidie, Richard Mull:lie, Wil-
liam Murdie , Robert Murdie,
Franklin Mutdie.
Interment was in "Greenhill
Cemetery. •

talent to promote the big event.
For all this they were compliment
