Goder- ich placed third in the Hereford Steer class. The steer was sold to Bruce Packers for 34.0, Andrew Gaunt R. 1 Lucknow , had the first and second place winner in the Shorthorn Steer div- ision. The one placing first was sold to Treleaven Feed Mill, Lucknow for 36.75. The second, place steer was repurchased by Mr. Gaunt at a 350 price. In the 4•11.calr n division, Ke Mewhinney of R. 1 Lucknow topp- ed the Shorthorn Steer class arid the-Calf was sold to U.C.O. Ripley boys played Luck- now first and ended `up on top with. 2-0 shot on goal. Next Kincar- • dine Twp-Tiv:erton school girls • played Ripley , but Ripley still • came up on top with a tie score,- 1-1 and 1-0 shots on goal. Ripley Then came the Boys' Champ- • ionship game. The score ended up 0-0 but Ripley Pulled over KTTPS with 2-0, shots, on goal. The afternoon ended with Mr. Ribey, , principal of K T. T P.S reluctantly giVing the pennants to both the Ripley Girls' and Boys' teams... Our cheerleader also went. They were Lori Caddotte, Kim McFadden, Patti 'McLean, Lois Rooney , Bev Scott, and Heather Boyle. • Mr. Stanley and Mr. Armstrong also went along. We've done it before. We'll do It again!! CROSS COUNTRY •HAMPS IDS III II --Saturday„ October 21_,_Mr. a--urda- Armstrong and his cross cbuntry and Mrs. Ted Evans and family team went to Paisley to compete at Erin. in the Bruce County Cross Country Mr. and Mrs. Art Graham Mrs tournament and came home , Dorothy, Thompson, Mr. and chanting "We're No. 1, We're No. Mrs.' Howard Thompson were 1" as they brought the' team , dinner guests •with Mrs. Agnes championship trophy home' with them. Ripley-Huron finished first with 146 points, Hillcrest Central finished 2nd with 159 points and Brant central came in Meinbers of the team include: Girls, Brenda Fair, Mary Ann Duharnel, Alice Piel, Connie Irwin, and Janice Farrell. Boys, Rodger: Ludwig',.Danny Boyd , Mike Pollock, Larry Farrell and Ricky Clampitt. Special honour,should be given Rodger Ludwig who finished 3rd out of DO'boys: MarrAiinbtr- haniel and Brenda Fair also desetve special /mention as they finished 4th and 6th respectively' out_91, 00 girls.
