A panel of four ladies, speak-
ing or‘'INkhe topic, 'Education',
held the undivided attention of
over ninety women Wednesday
afternoon at the Rally for West •
Huron Region of Huron-Perth Pres-
byterial. The occasion was the
eleventh annual rally of U.C. W.
_ of that region. It was held in
Dungannon United Church, -
October 25, 1972.

en". Following their presenta-
tions a lively discussion period
was held , with several ,
questions being answered.
United Church Women from the .
eleven churches in sheaegion
were all represented and all took;
some part in the day's program.
Registration commenced at
9.15 a.m. arid the ladies were
welcomed by Mrs, Hasty, Mrs.
Mel Reed and Mrs. H. Alton of
Dungannon. Mrs. Leonard Reed
was at the organ: MrS. R. C.
MCCIenaghan; Regional Presid-

was served by Dungannon U.C.
W. A feature of the afternoon
session was the fashion show skit,

by Nile U.C.W. This skit
portrayed many of the activities
of -U--;e-.-W-;.----a-rid-w-as-enioyed-by-
everyone. Mrs. Leonard .Warr of
Goderich Victoria Street , conduct-
ed-a lively singsong. -
The roll call was answered by
a variety of projects of 1972.

received and dedicated the 'offer-
ing and Blakes presented the
thanks of everyone to all Who
contributed to a successful day.
An invitation for the 1973 Rally

Major Ian McNabb returnedto
Canada last week. end, after a sev-
en. month tour of duty in 'Cyprus.
Mrs, McNabb flew to England to
meet him and'the McNabbs, Mr.
and Mrs. Eric Foster of Toronto
and--Mr,-and__Mr.s, Bob Karns and
girls. of London spent the week end
at the McNabb cottage. They .,
also visited with Mr. and Mrs,
Don Dore and family.

The Brownies opened their
meeting on Tuesday, October 24th
with Brownie Ring•. Nancy Thomp-
spn was our Fairy Queen, Brown
Owl then introduced our guest,
Mrs. A. E. McKim, to the Brown-
ies. We welcotbed her to the
meeting by giving her the Grand
Howl. We also had one more new
Tweenie, Lori Symes.
At Pow Wow Suzanne Kirkland
showed the Pack to three 'things
she had made for taking to the
tester for Toymaker Badge.
Tawny Owl then told the Brownies
that next week we would be
havipg our Hallowe'en Party, The
Brownies were also told that in
two weeks we are to go on a tour
of CKNX.
During work period everyone
Was closed with , •
Grove Community,Ceritre. The
evening included games and'
contests, makeup demonstrations
d a-wide assortment of. Avon
products. They had a. "Try Me
table'set up where one could go
ri4oweler--and pr-funie to one'
heart's content. Mrs. Scott
conducted an "Introduction
Game" at, the opening of the
evening and the prize was won
by Mrs: Marion Emerson. Door
prizes went to. Mrs'. Jean ,Nantais,
Mrs. Marie Coiling, Linda Fry
and Marion Emerson. Other ,
prize winners were Mrs. Judy
Thompson, Dianne Dore, Mrs. -
Stacey, Joan Fry', Marjorie Col-
ling and June:Elliott. Coffee and
cookies'Were served at the con-
clusion of the evening.
