The Juniors won their games 15-
they
dropped 15-5. The first game
they won easily , but Kincardine
then turned the second game
around in their favour , to walk
over Ripley 15-5. In the third
game the teams were very evenly
matched ,,with bOth teams having
'the lead then losing it. ,Finally
Ripley pulled ahead io win. Ken
MacKay Was the top scorer, with
Wayne Nicholson, Randy Ackert;
Clark Aitken,,, Doug Bissonnette
and Sandy Liddle getting the
other points.

Eighteen-yea'r-olds at RDHS had'
the chance of appraising the polit-
ical candidates on October. 17 as
federal contestants for the riding
of Bruce gathered to give their
views to the students of Ripley
• High. These presentations of
party policy were much .enjoyed
by the students.-
The main issues that were
discussed by Liberal candidate
Ross: Whicher of Wiarton, Progres-
sive Conservative nominee John
Loney of Tiverton, and New Dem-
ocratic party candidate Tom
Thompson of Southampton were
the federal problems of unemploy-;
ment inflation and agriculture.
The eandidates stayed for ninety
minutes and during that time per-
iod, also answered questions about
the Ontario Hydro strike, methods
•of creating jobs and deflating in-
flation.
CHECKMATE
New to the extra-curricular ,act
ivities at RDHS is the Chess Club
which was' formed last week by
Mr. Brian Esch. The formation
of this club, was well received
by Ripley students. Meetings are
every Monday, and who
knows? perhaps will emerge a
champion that may threaten the
ability, of chess world champion
Bobby Fischer.
DANCE AT RDHS
Everyone is welcome to, come
and dance. to "Callous" at RDHS
on Friday, October 27 from nine

INVESTMENT CLUB
At their latest meeting, the In-
vestment Club has decided to in-
vest into Campeau which is a con-
struction company near Ottawa.
They are currently trading at
6 7/8 on the T.S.E. Everyone is
still welcome to join and invest

Seniors took their match in 3

11, losing 15-11 in the second ,
which forced a third game which

quite well in the standings. The
