Lucknow United Church was the
setting for the marriage of Mr.
and Mrs. Larry McKay on tatur-
day .September 9 at 3 p.m.
Rev. Robert Nicholls officiat-
ed at the ceremony.
The bride is the former Ann
Christine Davidson,Aii-4hter of
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Davidson of
WhitechUrch. _Parents. of the
groom are Mr.-and Mrs. John'

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL
RIPLEY VS SACRED HEART
On Tuesday, October 3., Rip-
ley played their filiorrie--game
against the Sacred Heart team
from Walkerton. In the senior
girls' game, they lost their
hard fought game to the Sacred
Heart team. Ripley's top_scorers
were Shirley McCreath, Kathy
Farrell and Sally Elliott. The
Ripley Juniors once again show-
ed their strength as they capably
defeated the Sacred Heart Juniors.
The-first _game was 715-7 win for
RDHS with Kim Farrell and Joan
Courtney getting the ,most points.
Our second game was again 15-7
for Ripley. Joan Courtney and
Kerry Boyle proved to be Ripley's
top scorers.
School 404 Mr, LaMbropoulos, a
teacher of Ancient .History and
Latin from the same school, were on hand to. discuss the trip to.
Greece which Walkerton students

SACRED HEART AT RIPLEY
Both the Senior and Junior boys
walked off with victories Tuesday•
to earn' their first wins of the sea-
son. The Senior boys viere victor-
ious 15-11 and 15-6, while the
Juniors-toppled their oppdnents
15-7 and 15-4.
In the Seniors first game they
looked very strong and quickly
took an impressive lead. .They
let down however, and Sacred
Heart tied the score at 11-11.
Ripley finally got, on the scoring
track and Won the game 15-11.
The second game was similarly
well played with Ripley
quickly coming out on top and
defeating them 15-6. Carmon
Courtney led in points for the
game,-;mittr Barry-MacDonald
and Boyd Carruthers a few points
back. Also scoring were Blain
Carruthers and David MacDonald.
The Juniors looked good their
win also. They played with more
experience and confidence in this '-
match. They took quick control
of the game on excellent serv-
ing which Sacred Heart had little
chance to return. ,Ken MacKay
looked very impressive with his •
in points scored.
Ripley 15-8 and the second, a
close 16-14., Barry MacDonald
was the-top'-eorner for
Ripley.

Lion's Head clashed with Ripley,
in a series of volleyball'games on
October 5 at RDHS. Ripley Sen-
ior girls opened ,the scoring, but
lott_their lead several minuted
later to the Bruce Peninsula Sen-
iOrs who chalked up eleven ipoints.

the -eXcellent efforts of Kathy
Farrell, the RDHS team pulled
