Now In' Ghana
Wallace Houston has infornied
his parents, Mr. and Mrs, Harv-
ey Houston, Holyrood of arriving
safely in Ghana , West Africa.
For -the most part he will be liy-'
ing at Kumasi, which is north
and west from Accra, where he
arrived by plane from London,
England. He is in the employ of
Terra Surveys, with company ,
headquarters in Ottawa.
Members of the crew are liv-
ing in a comfortable five bed-
room home , with cooks , house -
boys , gardeners, etc. They are
using three landrovers and two
station wagons with five drivers.
Two of the chaps are on ground
patrol. •
On a trip down to Accra last
week, Wallace was pleased to
meet Dan Rose. Wallace visited
the Canadian High.Commission
office there. He remarked that .-
Dan looked well after a vacation
touring Europe this summer.

Although cool,'Saturday was
, a good day for the Ripley Fair,
and most people from this area
were in attendance.
Lynn Lowry took "Miranda" to
the Fair with his float, along
with a band and cheer leaders.
George Whitteveen entered the
parade with a, Chef and a group
of hearty diners to advertise his
Lighthouse Variety Store.
Perrin Lowry was in the parade
with his team of high-stepping
black ponies.
Also seen with their ponies and
horses were Margo and Christy
a
Messenger; Jane Ann Coiling
and Nina Silverstone. Helen
'Kempton took part with,her gaily
decorated bicycle.
The school children from Pine
River Central School were all out

stay there won't be to long.
