on Wednesday, September 27th
in Lucknow by winning with the
score of Kingsbridge 11, Benmiller
9, and on Sunday, October 1st ,
.took the lead 3 games to 2 -with a '
score of Kingsbridge .11, Benmiller

On Friday evening a recejtion
was held in Whitechurch Com-
munity Memorial Hall 'in honour
of Mr. and Mrs-Tin-1 Smith (nee
Carolyn Adams). Music for awl -
cing was supplied by the "Alley
Cats" with Brian Rintoul doing
the calling off.
At lunch time the bridal couple
were called to the platform given
seats of honour while John. Jamie-
,son addressed them and Wayne
Martin presented a gift of money
from the folks assembled. Jim
and Carolyn both. replied thank-
ing the sponsors for their kind-
`ness in rsmembering thernEy —
putting on the party in their hon-
our , to all who were _in attend-
ance and to all, for contributing
to the gift for them. For they
are Jolly Good Fellows was sung
and dancing resumed to closing
hour,.
. Eldon MacNamara of Detroit
recently spent a week visiting with
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Courtney. and
family: and Frank Austin of Dun-
gannon.
Mr. and Mrs. John Howard re-
turned home on Sunday after trav-:
-elling as far. as North Dakota and
also visiting with relatives' in
Jackson, Michigan.
On Fridiy , grades six , seven
and eight of St. Joseph's school
-along-with their teachers and
chaperones, enjoyed a trip.to
the Ploughing Mitch at Sebring- • vine.
Mrs. Fred. Vassella is a patient
in Victoria Hospital, London
.where she underwent surgery laSt
week.
,Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Sinnett
and family of Detroit were week-,
end visitors with Mrs. Jim Sinnett
and family.
INJURED IN FALL
Shannon Durnin, six year old
daughter of Mr'. and Mrs.. mike
Dalton', spent a few_ days in_the_
hospital last week after falling
from a high stairway in her home
and being knocked unconscious.
She returned home on Saturday.
