Ashfield WMS The-Ashfield Women's-Missiontz_ ary Society meeting was held at the home of Mrs. Warren Wylds on September 21st. MacLean was in charge of the meeting. Mxs. Ross MacKenzie gave the devotionals. • Mrs. MacLean spoke on the Presbyterian Church Involvement 4 -:of_iszlalawiand_on Rev, and Mrs. Brian Crosby, who are working in -the Likubula House with the young people. Roll call was on an interesting article from Glad Tidings With 12 members present. ,Business was conducted, and the meeting closed with prayer. Walden's hay wagon from house to house for their supper. Mary Lou Priestap started us off with apple juice and Barb Helm served cabbage salad. Jessie Kirkland gave us bologna and a bun and Pearl.Murdie and Jenny Porteous fed us with mac- aroni casseroles. Maudie Fisher served jello and Kay Crawford passed plates of cookies. Our spirits were the only things not dampened -bythe--pouring rain. A travelling supper is al- ways fun even on a very wet night. Cho ',leis-WAS. LANGSIDE NEWS Chalmers Presbyterian Wom- en's Missionary Society held their September meeting on Wednes- day 20th at 2 p.m. at the home -of-Mrs:--Victor Wybenga_wi president Mrs. Bill. Rintoul presid- ing. Mrs. Wesley Tiffin read the -scripture. The meditation was given by Miss Annie Laidlaw and prayer by Mrs. Bill Rintoul. Mrs. Russel. Ross gave a reading "How are we spending Life's Budget"? Mrs. Dawson Craig read the correspondence inviting the society to attend Belgrave Thankoffering meeting October 11 at 2.15 and Langside on Oct- ober 12.at 2 p.m. Both request... decided to accept both and as many attend as possible. The topic,The "New Book of Praise" was given 11 Mrs., Robert Ross and Mrs. V. Emerson. In ian church has had 3 hymn books.'
