Percy Colpitts, age 26, 1570
Lawrence Avenue West, Toronto,
was employed by the A & A Line
Markers of Toronto and while'
marking the road was struck by a
feed truck on County Road north
of Wroxeter on September 11.
Thomas Steffler, R. R. 2 Mild-
may , was the driver of the truck.
Mr. Colpitts received an injured
arm, abrasions to left and right
elbows, was treated and released.
The accident was investigated by
Walkerton, 0 P P.

Everyone was to. think of a.
name for the club and,it was dec-
ided on "Dungannon Supper Serv-
ers". The covert for our books
•are red with black letters. The'
next,meeting will be on Wednes-

Mrs. Maclnnis led in ,a discus-
sion on patio parties,
picnics, buffet suppers and shish-
kabobs. The handout sheets are
to be filled out for the next meet'- ,
ing. *The group work involved a
corn and wiener roast ; which was
enjoyed by all.

For Handicrafters
The second meeting of the St.
Helen's Happy Handicrafters was
held on iiiiidaSeptember twel-
-•fth in the form of a barbecue. •
Vegetables and meat were barbe-
cued and enjoyed by the girls.
The meeting opened with the
pledge followed by the roll call
"My favourite pienio i barbecue or
patio food".
The exhibits for the Lucknow
Fall Fair were discuSsech Some
of the girls were appointed to
oo afterthe 'skits and posters .for
Achievement' Day. Forms were
filled out for .those girls who have
'taken four or, more projects.
A discussion was held on various
menus the girls-had-bring the
past week. The leaders' led a dis-

risbank corner). A truck driven
by Ronald Walden, age 25,
Wingham, travelling East on
HighWay 86 was in,coillision with
a car driven by Robert Martin •
McLelland, age 66, '190 Peter
Street, Walkerton, travelling
North on County Road 12. Mr.
,McLelland-was pronounced dead
at the scene by Coroner Dr. W.
A. Crawford. Ronald Walden
suffered from chest injuries and
shock. He was admitted to hos.-
pital. InVestigated by Wingham
McKittrick.

vale , was admitted to hospital
September 16 with chest injuries
caused When he fell off a load .
of straw, striking his head on a
baler at his hoine farm.,
Earl Reinhardt, age 14, R. R.
Teeswater , son of Mr. and MrS.-
Wilbert-Reinhardt-was admitted
to hospital September 16 with head
injuries when he fellout of a hay
mow landing'on his head.

With the hockeir season not too
far off, we find some of our
young people attending school in
hew areas, in order to play hock-
ey for that town, Both Ken and
David Farrish, sons of Duncan
and Peggy Parrish are off to Strat-
ford. Graham Hamilton, also to
Stratford, is the son of Donald and
Dorothy Hamilton of this area.
Paul Trembley is home from
Wingham and District Hospital.
Congratulations to Ainslie
Martyn, who won her class in
the Baby Show at Lucknow Fall
Fair.
Mrs. Hartley McTayish and
Mrs. Graham MacLeod of Toron-
to were recent visitors with Mr.
and Mrs. Oliver Mccharles.
Lynn and. Barrie Elphick were'
proud owners of'lst Prize rabbits
at Lucknow Fair.
Mrs. Emile MacLennan spent
Saturday in London at the. Western
Fair.
Mrs.. Margaret Morton and
children of Stratford spent a few
days with Mrs. Emile MacLennan.
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Emberlin of
Toronto spent the week end with
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Finlayson.

ility and coverage for personal
slander was taken out on Council
and Township employees. •
A motion was made to apply
to the Department of Transport
and Communications for interim
subsidy on highway expenditures.
The following accounts were
ordered paid: General, $1,366.67;
Drains, $1,224.75; Highways, •
$9,691.87.
