Thompson Nursing Home on Mal-
colm Street , operated by Mrs.
Mary Fludder, was closed down.

ferent nursing homes such as
Dicknow , Goclefich, Ailsa Craig.
Hensall and Seaforth. Employed.
at the Ripley Home were Mrs.

Mr's. Adeline Hackett and nurse
Mrs. Norrma Humphrey.

The bride wore a street
length gown of polyester crimp-
•lene over satin, empire waist
accented -by lace , full duffed
sleeves with lace inserts. She
carried a cascade of gardenias,
daisies , mums and ,ivy with white
rosebuds in her hair.
Mrs. Wm. Moffat, sister of the
bride was her only attendant ,
goWned in street length embossed
taffeta over satin with ribbon
streamers' at back., She wore
--piirk-rdsebudi-in her hair-and
ried a bouquet of white dais' s
pink carnations and ivy.

bride. The bride's mother re-

polyefter with corsage of white
mums. •
The grooms mother wore a
figured black and white polyest- •
er crimplene, with corsage of
white mums.
Following a 'wedding trip to
'the East Coast , they are residing
in Goderich where' the groom is
employed at'Sifto Salt Mine and
the bride at Woolworths.

The field crop competitions
in fall wheat and barley sponsored
by the Ripley. Agricultural Society
were judged last week by' Norman

barley was Donald MacTavish
with 86 points Closely followed
by Gordon Patterson, Jim Brooks
and Gordon Bridge. In the fall
wheat Mike Snobelen's big field
on the forrher Wes Macintosh farm
was first with 80 points followed

and Gordon and Eugene Bridge',

Miss Margaret Haigney of Om-
agh, Ireland, visited for the past,
three:weeks with her sitter-in-
law and blether Mr. and Mts-. P-at—
Haigney. She returned to Ireland
last Saturday. Recently Mr. and
:Mrs. Pat Haigney returned to •
their home in Ripley after spend,
ing a month at-their homes in _
Ireland.
