Arie Van Den Ende led the song
service,on Sunday evening assist-
ed by members of the Clinton
Eighty residents from Huron
new travelled by bus on Monday

ke, following a short stop at the

eryone enjoyed an hour rest beside
he lake before supper. A picnic
upper was served to the residents
by niembers of the staff and vol-
nteers; returning to the home
at five thirty. The management

3 p.m. was the 'scene Of a beauti-
ful summer. wedding , When Syke
deJong and James John Sutherland
were united in marriage by Rev.
-J. W. Van Stem'pvoort. The
bride's parents are Mr. and Mrs.
Jelle deJong , R. R. 5, Lucknow.
The groom's parents are Mrs.
James Butherland, Kitchener, and
the late Mr. Sutherland.
The bride' entered the church bn
the arm of her father , who gave
her in marriage , to the strains of
Wedding music played by Mrs.
Torn Pritchard Lucknow. $he
was, preceded down the aisle by
her four attendants, Miss Janice
Sutherland of Kitchener , sister of
the groom; Mrs, Gert deJong of
'Sister =
of the' bride; Mrs. Eric Excel,
and Mis. Paul Gunter of R. R..5,
Lucknow , twin sisters of the bride,
The charming little flower girl
was Miss Sandra Exel, niece of
the bride and the ring bearer was
Master Scott cainble , Kitchener,
nephew of the groom.
A portrait of,loveliness, the
bride was attired in a floor-length
gown of billowy organza over,
satin, enhanced with rose appli-
ques on'the front bodice and
skirt, Iongfull sleeves ending in
ruffles over the hands, a ruffle
neckline trimmed with lace roses
and a skirt flowing into a train
at the back'. Her headdress was
a juliet,cap of satin, with match-
ing rose appliques -whictrheld-her
cathedral-length veil of fine sills
illusion. She carried a crescent"-
shaped bouquet of red roses and
white carnations.
Her attendants were similarly
gowned 'in shades' of green,
mauve , yellow , and blue floor-
length dresses of flocked nylon
-rover-taffeta. They featured__
square yokes with neckline, hem-
line , and sleeves trimmed .with
ruffles. They carried baskets of
daisies and fern, and wore match-
ing Shoes and dies in their
hair.
The flower girl wore a pink
floor-length dress and hat match-
ed guests later at a reception in,
Wingharn Legion Hall dressed lin
a floor-length gown of purge
organza. over crepe trimmed with
-white lace up center front panels,
around a high neckline and long
full sleeVes. She wore tiny rose-
rosettes in her hair white shoes
arid purse , 'and a corsage of white.
gardenia with stephanotis. The .
.groom's mother assisted wearing
a floor length gown ,of rose print
ed:organza over crepe , long full
sleeves and higbwaisted , trimmed,
with deep purple velvet' which
was rhinestone studded. She had .
purple shoes and purse and wore a
corsage of white gardenia and
StephanotiS.
The Cardinals of London played
for a dance in the Wingham .Leg-
ion Hall following the wedding
dinner. The bride and 'groom. left ,
• from here for a honeymoon trip
to the Bahamas dressed identically
in nautical outfits of white slacks
and shoes, red' blonses, navy
blazers, and white sailor hats with'
corsage and boutonniere of red
carnations.
Preceding her marriage the
bride was honoured-on-several -
occasions. The ladies of the
Christian Reformed Church gave
her a shower , the community
of neighbours held a shower at

White entertained at a dinner in
her honour and the girls who work
at Ontario Hydro presented her
with gifts.
The couple will reside in Lon-
don where the groorn is employ-
ed with CFPL' Television.

The soloist was Miss Sherrill
Taylor , Huronview Kincardine,
who accompanied herself on the
guitar assisted by Mrs. Toni Prit-
chard on the organ.

nic supper. •
There was a Scottish•lilt in the
air atki-turonview on ThiiMay
evening when the Brussels Pipe
Band, along with two Clinton
Band members., Played for a con-
cert on the lawn-. Most of the •
residents were able to enjoy the
concert either' outdoors or from
the west windows of the home.
The band played several familiar
tunes in a circle; perforMed a
drill on the front parking, lot and
finished the concert with the'
Very popular bagpipe tune , Am ,
azing:Grace.
