the Lucknow Lions, Club, the spon-
soring group, was master of cer-
emonies for the evening.
Gunby 12, daughter of'Mr. and
Mrs. Merle Gunby of Ashfield,,
received' the Science Award pres-
sented by Ashfield Federation of
Agriculture. Absent was.Ruth
Walt , winner of the penmanship
award made by Mr. and Mrs.
Angus MacLennan.
Hap Swatridge of Wingham
played for the singing of 0 Can-
ada. Gerald ,Priestap , president
of the Lucknow Lions, ,gave a few
'opening remarks. The Programme
began, with vocal numbers by
`Mary Anne Alton of Belfast,
accompanied .by her mother.

The Blyth Club was represented
by the' Five Country Gentlemen,
a band from Blyth. Two members
of this group were Jim and John ,
Button, sons of Mr. and Mrs: Ern-
est Button Of Blyth, formerly of
Lucknow. From Bayfield came

Rev. and Mrs. R. T. Odendahl
of Lucknow returned on Thursday
Of jast week from a month's holi-
day trip to England , Belgium and
Germany. '
Their trip was marred somewhat
as they encountered bad weather
'conditions, especially while in
England.
Rev. Mr. Odendahl, who has
been rector of the Lucknow Ang-
'canArea_Parish_with-serviges-at
Lucknow Kinlough, Dungannon,
Port Albert and Ripley is retiring
at the end of July. . Mr. Odendahl
came to Lucknow three years ago
last May froth 13rantford , where he
Ministered at the Six Nations Re-
serve for eighteen years. ,
During the \month of August he
will'be ministering at the summer
resort of Sauble Beach.
The first of September Rev. and
Mrs Qdendahl will move to
Penticton, British Columbia
to make their home, whereTtheir
daughter 'Mrs. Steve (Rosemary)

Minnesota Resort
Michelle Denise Gilmour,
2,-year-old daughter of Mr, and
Mrs.David Gilmour of Winnipeg,
drowned on Saturday at a surnmet
resort in Minnesota.
Mrs. Gilmour is the former
Alison Webb. of St. Helens,
daughter 'of Mrs. Harvey Webb
and -the late Mr. Webb.
Mr. and Mrs. Gilmour Were
vacationing with friends at Lake
Branson in Minnesota when the
drowning occurred. They have
two other children, Jefferey age
9 and Steven age 6.
Mrs. Harvey Webb, David's
parents Mr. and Mrs.. Allan Gil7
mour and his sister of Burgess-
ville left on Monday by air for
Winnipeg.
