The Lucknow Women's Institute
held their June rneet,ing Friday
evening, June 9. The President
Mrs. Armstrong Wilson opened
the meeting by singing grace and
thehostesses served a lovely
dessert and a cup of tea.

tee , Mrs. Evelyn Barkwell, took
charge of the program, opening
with the Institute Ode and Mary
' Stewart Collect. She introduced

onstration of their work and dis-
played the garments that they
had made in their club. Mrs. W.
F. MacDonald thanked• the girls
and their leaders.
A humorous reading was given
by Mrs. WM. Helm on "Replace-
ments". The report of the Dist-
rict Annual meeting held in
Teeswater was heard. Mrs, Jack
'Campbell gave the report of the
morning session and Mrs. Alex
MacNay the afternoon. The lad-
ies' brought back splendid reports.

On the week end Mr. and Mrs.
Gershoni Johnston received word
that their grandson Kenneth
Woods, son of Mr. and Mrs. Char•
les Woods of Egmondville was in ,
a car accident and is now in' ser-
ious condition in intensive care
at St. Joteph*S Hospital , London.
