Recently Mr. and Mrs.
Malcolm. MacLeod of Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania visited with Mrs.
Nellie •MacLeod in Ripley and,
attended the Ken MacLennan,
Donna Cook wedding. Also Mrs.
B. Carney, Mrs: P. MacGregor
and Agnes attended the same
weddingand visited with Mrs.
MacLeod.
Mrs. Sheila MacDonald of Hur-
on has been employed at the Rip-
ley Royal Bank. Sheila is taking
the place of Mrs.' Karen Stam who
is in, hospital.

Miss Corinne MacDonald is
employed for the summer by the
Ontario. Police Commission and
has been assigned to work with
the Sarnia City Police Department
The Youth and the Lava program
gives the University student an
opportunity to observe and'work
with the police in order to prom -
ote a better understanding of the
work.

During the past week signs
offering the farms of the late Shirl
Bowers have been posted. The
Bowers homestead is on the-fif-
teenth, about two 'miles south of
Ripley, with one hundred acres
on each side of the paved Bruce
County road. Walter Culbert of
Ripley, is in charge of the sale of
the farm.

The, funeral service for Mrs.
Robert Aitchison was held last
Saturday afternoon at the McLen ,
nan-McCreath Home in Ripley
with Rev. Kenneth. R. Rooney of
Knox Presbyterian Church. in
charge. Interment was in the
family plot in Wingham cemetery.
/ Mrs. Aitchison passed away on
Thursday, June 1, in Mason Villa
Hospital' in London. She had been
a patient there for a few years,
and was daily visited by her daUgh•
ter Doris. She is survived by her
