Several teenagers and adults, with the aid of the Lucknow Recreation Planning and Development Com- mittee, are in the process of planning a large scale choral group. This choir is Being planned to, include all ages, male and female. One notable difference is that no past musical training or experience is necessary' for participation. The criteria for membership are very —simple;--willingness--to -participate -and -enthusiasm. The ability—toy read music 'is not necessary because most of the music will be learned through active participation. Johnston of Ottawa passed away, on Wednesday, May 17 at the age of 49. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Johnston of Lucknow. Mr. Johnston is survived by-his wife, the former Naomi First, of 818 Weston Drive, Ottawa; three sons Robert, Alan and Stephen; . his parents Mr. and Mrs. Mark Johnston of Lucknow; four sisters, Mrs. Maurice (Vera) Hodgins oflondOn,14xs Deyell'of Wingharn, Mrs. Donald (Mary) Martin of R. R. 1 Lucknow , Mrs. Bert (Doris) Moss of R. R. 2 Auburn; and three brothers, Clifford and Lloyd, both 'of R. R. 3 HOlyrood and Wayne of Mississ- auga. He was predeceased by one brother Keith Johnston. The funeral service and inter- ment took place in Ottawa on Saturday, May 20.
